Ever needed a large piece of bible or inspirational artwork but didn’t want to pay like $80 for one? Well here’s a step by step way that you can make one for yourself.
This beauty is actually sized 19.75″ x 27.5″ and costs less than $9. Well $8.58 to be exact. 🙂
So first thing you want to do is get something that you want to print and make sure that it’s big enough to print. The reason there are blurry or fuzzy photos is because the resolution or size of the image is too small. You can make your own or find some printables online for free or for purchase for a small price.
Next you want to get it printed at Staples as an “Engineer Print“. This only works for black and white prints and only costs $3.59 for a 24″ x 36″ print. That’s pretty big! I recommend putting your print on a small flash drive or emailing it to them directly. Make sure to get it printed to fit in your frame. The frame in this tutorial is 19.75″ wide by 27.5” tall. I designed it to have a white border around it so that I wouldn’t have to worry about centering my black print onto a white mat. Totally up to you.
SUPER HELPFUL TIP: Don’t forget to ask them to cut it down for you. They have the tools to cut large prints easily and accurately.
Then you want to buy your frame from IKEA for just $4.99 for the black frame in the picture. This frame is sized 19.75″ x 27.5″. If you don’t want to frame it, there’s a tutorial here on how to mount it onto a board.
Now onto the fun stuff. Insert your pre-measured, pre-cut print into your newly bought frame and you’re done!
But wait! There’s more! LOL
Actually, just a super helpful tip. Secure your print to the cardboard that comes with the frame with some double-sided table. Otherwise, it will go sliding down inside the frame and show some ugly wrinkles. Like so….
I hope you had a great time reading this article and creating your own bible verse wall art. It really is satisfying to be able to taylor your artwork to your own style or family.
If you happen to like the bible verse featured in this tutorial, I have it listed in my shop for purchase.
And in case you were wondering, that cute little, yellow flower arrangement was just $3.25 to make. 🙂
Thanks for dropping in! Hope to see you soon. 🙂
